Starbucks Does the Chicago Cha Cha in support of Concordia Place
Every coffee lover who makes a purchase, will enjoy half-off an iced beverage of their choice to further support Concordia Place.

Enjoy some good karma with your caffeine at the Starbucks in Roscoe Village on August 16 and August 24. Starbucks employees and teens from Concordia Place’s Emerging Leaders program will be outside the store from 7 a.m. to 1p.m., to showcase and sell teen-crafted soaps, lip balms, deodorants and shea balms to support the organization’s Sprouting Out Social Entrepreneurs Project. Every coffee lover who makes a purchase, will enjoy half-off an iced beverage of their choice to further support Concordia Place and its award-winning programs.
The Sprouting Out Social Entrepreneurs project integrates a social mission of developing environmentally-conscious teen leaders with a socially-conscious business venture. This venture is realized through “Ruckus,” a full product line of teen-crafted beauty and pampering products. Through the creation, marketing and distribution of sustainable teen-grown and teen-made products, teens acquire invaluable entrepreneurial and leadership skills. Starbucks employees are donating their time, talent, and delicious drinks to support Concordia Place as they compete in the Chicago Charity Challenge.
Affectionately coined the Chicago Cha Cha, the Chicago Charity Challenge is an employee-powered charity competition amongst local businesses. Each of the participating teams in the Chicago Cha Cha, including Starbucks and Concordia Place, are competing to raise the most money and give the greatest number of hours volunteering to support their selected charity.
