Job seekers are encouraged to attend Your Job Search Goes Social with Sima Dahl, founder and president of the Sway Factory, held on October 20 from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. CDT.
This one-day, online workshop covers the questions most asked by job seekers, gleaned from a survey conducted by Dahl’s company. Participants will learn about personal branding, crafting the perfect elevator pitch, optimizing LinkedIn profiles, maximizing one’s digital footprint, networking like a pro and nailing the informational interview.
Dahl is an international speaker, trainer and coach who spent the first 20 years of her career in corporate marketing, helping both start-ups and enterprises with their branding, messaging and lead generation. She now combines her marketing expertise with social media savvy to teach professionals how to create more Sway - more ethical influence - through personal branding, messaging and their digital footprint.

“Not a week goes by that someone doesn’t ask for my advice on their personal brand, my opinion of their LinkedIn profile, for my top tips on Informational Interviewing, or for a sanity check on social networking to accelerate their job search,” says Dahl. “I describe my own career in corporate American as volatile, so I’ve harnessed everything I’ve learned and experienced and am using it to help people land their dream jobs,” she adds.
More than 200 people responded to Dahl’s survey and the programs were shaped around the results. The four sessions are as follows:

2. LinkedIn Profile Optimization & Your Digital Footprint: 11:30 - 12:30 p.m. CDT
3. Networking with Confidence & The Art of the Informational Interview: 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. CDT
4. Rapid Fire FAQ - 1 hour answering the questions that always come up: 2:30 - 3:30 p.m. CDT
After all four of the live, video-enhanced training programs have been delivered, there will be an open discussion with other experts on Blab.im/SimaSays to further the conversation. All sessions will be recorded and available on-demand within 48 hours until Nov. 3. Participants who cannot attend all sessions are encouraged to register while the discounted pricing is in effect..
Four levels of tickets are being offered:
1. Discounted Tickets for Everyone: For those who have a job but aspire to something greater, choose this option for $47, valued at more than $2000.
2. 20 Limited Edition Gold Tickets: These include the online event plus a private 30-minute LinkedIn profile review with Dahl. Valued at $2,200, this ticket can be purchased for $157.
3. 10 Limited Edition Platinum Tickets: These include the event plus a 60-minute private coaching session with Dahl which includes and in-depth job search discussion, resume and cover letter review, updated LinkedIn profile, personal branding and career path exploration. This level costs $277 and is valued at $2,500.
4. Free Ticket for the Unemployed: 300 tickets have been reserved for those who are unemployed or otherwise cannot afford to pay.
