Wrigleyville Taco Bell Manager Stabs Worker: Police

The worker was stabbed at the restaurant on West Addison near Wrigley Field, police said.

CHICAGO, IL — A man was stabbed by his manager Tuesday at the Taco Bell on Addison Street near Clark Street, police said. The stabbing happened during a dispute about a woman, according to police. Officers were called to the restaurant around 6:30 a.m., and found the 21-year-old victim bleeding from his abdomen, police said.

He had been arguing with his manager, a man in his 40s, and the two went to an alley outside the restaurant, police said. The 21-year-old was stabbed in the alley, according to police.

The victim was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Center for treatment.

“We’re shocked and saddened to hear of this incident and are hopeful that the team member recovers quickly,"a Taco Bell representative said in a statement. "Our franchisee takes the safety and well-being of guests and team members seriously and is fully cooperating with authorities in their investigation.”

The victim declined to press charges against his manager, police said.
