WAUCONDA, IL — The Wauconda Police Department is investigating a situation involving a Wauconda High School staff member who was recently placed on administrative leave by the College of Lake County.
"Wauconda police investigators are currently in the early stages of gathering information," according from the statement Tuesday from the police department. "We understand the situation may cause concern within the community and raise questions. We will provide updates as appropriate while maintaining the integrity of the investigation."
Authorities said there are currently no ongoing threats to students or staff. Police in Wauconda are working closely with Wauconda High School and the College of Lake County as the investigation continues.

The employee has not been on college or high school property since the College was notified. The college is cooperating with police in their investigation to the fullest extent possible. Due to confidentiality and privacy rights of the students and employees, the college is unable to provide any additional information at this time. CLC is committed to providing a safe and healthy educational environment that is conducive to learning for all students.”
