• Illinois law impacts e-bikes riders, requires registration, license (vandaliaradio.com) — A new Illinois law co-sponsored by Lake Zurich's Sen. Darby Hills will soon require registration, titles, licenses, insurance, and age limits for certain higher-speed e-bikes and scooters. Starting Jan. 1, newly bought vehicles must be registered, while existing ones only need titles if used on public highways, and riders will gain clearer rules for using bike lanes and roads statewide.
