• Lake County voters to decide on sales tax to pay for school improvements (dailyherald.com) — Lake Zurich Community Unit District 95 is among 23 Lake County districts backing a November referendum on a 1% countywide sales tax to fund school facility upgrades and safety staff. If voters approve, many everyday purchases would see a small tax increase starting July 2027, with revenue shared by enrollment and potentially easing pressure on local property taxes.
