Board Meeting, Library Events Planned this Week

Here is a look at some events coming up this week:

1. The  meets tonight at 7. Items on the agenda include:

• A request for an "adjustment to the approved appearance plan" for LA Fitness.
• The purchase of three new 2012 Ford police vehicles, including two sedans and a utility vehicle, at $77,405.
• Ratification of the union contract with dispatchers and community service officers.
• Approval of the hiring of an interim budget director from Gov Temps LLC.

2. The village will hold special committee-of-the-whole meeting at 7 p.m. Jan. 18, to discuss the water rate increase, along with current issues with homeowners associations and representatives.

3.  will hold high school freshman registration from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Jan. 19.
