Waukegan YMCA Brings Free Aqua Zumba Party to the Pool June 2
The Aqua Zumba® program, which gives new meaning to the idea of invigorating exercise, will be offered as a free workout June 2 at the Northern Lake YMCA.
Known as the Zumba® “pool party,” the Aqua Zumba® program gives new meaning to the idea of invigorating exercise and will be offered as a free workout June 2 at the Northern Lake YMCA, 2000 Western Ave., Waukegan.
“Splashing, stretching, twisting, even shouting, laughing, hooting and hollering are often heard during an Aqua Zumba® class,” said Lake County Family YMCA Fitness Coordinator Clair Pauschert. “We’re excited to offer this integrated Zumba® formula and philosophy with traditional aqua fitness disciplines. It all comes together into a safe, challenging, water-based workout that’s cardio-conditioning, body-toning, and most of all, exhilarating beyond belief.”
Ages 12 and up and all fitness levels are welcome as the program can be scaled. The 40-minute class will be offered at 3 p.m. and at 4 p.m. that Saturday.
