Chowdown Showdown: Ice Cream

It's time for our weekly Chowdown Showdown!

With all of this unseasonably warm weather lately, it has seemed like summer. With that in mind, tell us: Where's the best place to get ice cream in the Barrington and Lake Zurich area?

You know the drill: All you need to do is sign into our site and then comment below with your vote. Feel free to elaborate on why this restaurant's ice cream is the best.

You have until 5 p.m. Tuesday to let us know your favorite go-to place for yummy ice cream.

We'll post the finalists in a poll on Wednesday morning. Our scoring method will change beginning this week; the winner will be declared based on both votes received and on reviews and ratings left in Patch Places Lake Zurich and Patch Places Barrington. Details are outlined in the document at right.

Voting will continue through 5 p.m. Friday. We will post the Showdown winner first thing Saturday morning.
