You may have seen her recently on T.V., Linda McGehee, owner of Ghee’s mail order sewing and notions company has over 40 years of sewing experience and will lecture “Putting the Icing on the Cake” at the meeting of the Northwest Suburban Quilters Guild at the Concorde Banquets in Kildeer on Thursday,October 18. Linda’s diverse sewing background from garments to hand bags, piecing to heirloom and dazzling surface manipulation techniques has earned her a prize-winning international reputation.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for socializing and shopping. Sew Mod of Crystal Lake will be the evening’s fabric merchant.

Spiral Patchwork: Saturday, October 20, Rolling Meadows Library; 9:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m., Linda will show you how to turn ordinary fabric into a work of art with her spiral piecing technique which you can use to create a table runner, pillow, purse, vest or a border for your latest quilt.
