Board OKs Fireworks Contract; Village Announces Route 12 Resurfacing

What happened at the April 16 board meeting?

Lake Zurich trustees and village staff tackled many issues at Monday night's Village Board meeting, from the village's July 4 fireworks contract to approving safety-related proclamations.

Here's a look at some issues that were addressed at the April 16 meeting:

Fireworks Contract Approved

Trustees voted 4-1 to approve a $15,000 contract with J&M Displays to provide the July 4 fireworks. Trustees initially had due to questions about shell counts and the lack of bids. Park & Recreation Department Director Michael Perkins said the lack of proposals was due to many factors, including the potential vendors already being booked on July 4.
