To Kill a Mockingbird & Go Set a Watchman: Two Views of Atticus Finch at the Wauconda Area Library!

The Two Views of Atticus Finch performed by the ShawChicago Theater Company at the Wauconda Area Library!

The Wauconda Area Library is proud to announce a performance of To Kill a Mockingbird & Go Set a Watchman: Two Views of Atticus Finch to be held on Saturday, October 17 at 2pm. This year’s One Book, One Community selection, To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee, has become a classic of modern American literature. After this success of this great work of literature, Harper Lee didn’t publish another book, until earlier this year with Go Set a Watchman. The characters in Lee’s work are beloved, possibly none more so then Atticus Finch.

ShawChicago Theater Company will present a woven narration of Lee’s To Kill a Mockingbird and the newly released, Go Set a Watchman. The ShawChicago Theater Company presents selected scenes from both books, connecting the dots on America’s beloved characters and their complex views on race, community, and family. This program has been written exclusively for the Wauconda Area Library. You won’t want to miss it! The program is free of charge and open to the public. No registration is necessary!

Since 1994, ShawChicago Theater Company has performed readings of works by Bernard Shaw and his contemporaries.
