On Monday, March 9, 2015 Mayor Steve Lentz and the Trustees of the Mundelein Village board issued a proclamation to the Lake County Center for Independent Living.

The Mayoral Proclamation commended LCCIL for its 25 years of excellent service to people with disabilities. The proclamation also urges the business community, civic leaders, elected officials and general public to generously support the Center’s 2015, Silver Anniversary Gala Benefit, on April 25, 2015.

Lake County Center for Independent Living provides all services free of charge to people with disabilities who reside in Lake and McHenry counties. Some services include: independent living skills training, information & referral, individual or community advocacy, employment readiness training, youth services, and more.

LCCIL celebrates its 25th anniversary with the passage of the Americans with Disabilities Act. Signed by President George Bush in 1990, the ADA requires equal access for people with disabilities. LCCIL works directly with consumers as well as on a systemic level to ensure equal access is realized, as prescribed by the ADA.

Visit the LCCIL website www.lccil.org or call (847) 949-4440 for more information about services or the 25th Anniversary Gala Benefit.
