Join master singer/storyteller Mark Dvorak for a musical exploration of the Civil Rights Movement, incorporating some of the poignant themes of To Kill a Mockingbird. As part its One Book, One Community program, the Wauconda Area Library is proud to host his performance on Friday, October 2nd at 6:30 pm. This year’s One Book, One Community selection, To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee, has become a classic of modern American literature.

Mark Dvorak will offer a sample of the soundtrack for one of the most defining periods of American history. Some of the most poignant themes of To Kill a Mockingbird will come alive through the music of this era, which will include songs of Pete Seeger, Joan Baez, and many more. In addition to the music, From Scratch Café will serve a “Southern-inspired” appetizer and dessert buffet, drinks included. The Movement That Sang will offer folk music, food and fun!
