Tolls May Increase To Close Budget Gap
Drivers may be forced to pay higher tolls to cover a $1 billion budget gap, according to the Daily Herald.

The Illinois State Toll Highway Authority may ask drivers to help cover a $1 billion budget gap, the Daily Herald reported today.
According to the Daily Herald, the Illinois State Toll Highway Authority is anticipating $6 billion in expenditures from now until 2026 for highway maintenance and construction. Revenues, however, are estimated to be only $5 billion, according to the Daily Herald.
