Village Hires New Finance Director

Jodie K. Andrew will join the village on April 2.

The village of Lake Zurich announced that Jodie K. Andrew, assistant director of finance for the village of Schaumburg, has accepted appointment to the Lake Zurich finance director position.

Ms. Andrew has been employed in the Schaumburg Finance Department for the past 10 years, where she was instrumental in the development of an annual budget which exceeded $150 million. She has also served in the finance departments of Mount Prospect and Hoffman Estates.

Ms. Andrew holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy from Northern Illinois University as well as holding the designation of certified public accountant. She is currently enrolled in the Master’s of Public Administration program at NIU.

Village President Suzanne K. Branding expressed her enthusiasm when she was informed of Ms. Andrew’s acceptance of the position and stated β€œthe village of Lake Zurich is incredibly fortunate to have secured a professional of Ms. Andrew's experience and qualifications in only a few short months. The director of finance position is an extremely difficult one to fill. We were aware of several Illinois municipalities who have been recruiting for a person Andrew’s caliber for several months and have been unsuccessful. We look forward to Jodie joining the Village’s executive team.”

The appointment is effective April 2.
