Zurich Meadows Offering Discounted Rates to Lake Zurich Seniors

Seniors who live in Lake Zurich, or those who have family members who live or work in the village, are invited to take advantage of "occupancy priority" being offered by Zurich Meadows.

The independent senior housing community at 250 Mohawk Trail opened in mid-January and has nearly 30 residents. Twenty-six additional tenants are expected to move in by the end of April, according to Phil Moeller, president of Carefree Development.

“We want to make good on our promise when we began this project that the people of this community would be welcomed, by offering them priority and discounted rates,” Moeller told the  on Monday night.  

Ryan Companies US Inc. constructed the 95-unit, three-story facility on 2.75 acres near Route 22 and Old Rand Road.

The , and the new Ela Township Community Center all are within walking distance of the development.

Carefree Development provides activities for residents, such as bridge clubs and bingo, fitness and exercise classes, health festivals, and movie nights, according to the company’s website.
