Another round of snow is expected to begin Tuesday evening, and the Wednesday morning commute could possibly be impacted. The National Weather Service has issued a special weather statement for Winnebago, DeKalb, Kane, DuPage, Cook, Grundy, Kendall, La Salle, Will and Kankakee counties.
According to the statement, snow will spread through northern Illinois and northwest Indiana late this evening and overnight. Most location will receive 1 to 3 inches of snow, and snow will end between 4 and 6 a.m. from west to east.
Most of the snow will be over with before the morning commute, according to the NWS. However, the late end of snow will likely leave some areas untreated, and the morning commute could be slower and slipperier.
