1,400 Without Power In Lemont Due To Equipment Problem

LEMONT, IL — About 1,424 people in Lemont are without power Monday due to an "equipment problem," according to ComEd.

Crews are out assessing the problem, the company said, but an estimated time of restoration was not listed.

Residents on social media said they received messages that the outage was due to "severe weather." However, no severe weather was forecast for Monday.

A similar outage also happened Aug. 21, when 1,400 people lost power for unknown reasons.
