2-4 Inches Of Snow Possible Monday, 30 MPH Gusts: Chicago Weather
The northern suburbs could see up to 4 inches of snow through Monday evening.

Some of the northern Chicago suburbs could see up to 4 inches of snow through Monday evening. According to the National Weather Service, a winter weather advisory has been issued for McHenry, Lake, Kane, DuPage and Cook counties from 4 p.m. Monday until midnight Monday night.
According to the advisory, snow could fall heavy at times Monday night with rates up to an inch per hour possible. The far northern suburbs, like Waukegan, could see up to 3 to 4 inches of snow; while the southern suburbs near Joliet could see less than an inch of snow.
Gusty winds will also be a feature on Monday night, with winds around 10 to 20 mph and gusts up to 30 mph.

After the snow on Monday, a chance of snow and rain remains on Tuesday and the high for the day is 43 degrees. The rest of the week will be sunny and have cooler temperatures. The high for Wednesday and Thursday is 36 degrees, and Friday will get up to 40 degrees, according to the NWS.

New snow accumulation of around an inch possible.
- TUESDAY: Snow showers likely, possibly mixed with rain, becoming all snow after 3 p.m. Cloudy, with a high near 37. South wind 5 to 10 mph becoming west in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
- TUESDAY NIGHT: A 40 percent chance of snow showers. Cloudy, with a low around 27. North northwest wind 5 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
