2023 South and West Suburban Reassessment Report
The Cook County Assessor’s Office (CCAO) released their Report for the results of the 2023 South and West Suburban Reassessment, which includes Lemont. According to the CCAO, the Report contains an explanation of Cook County’s property tax system, the role of the CCAO, and information about assessment fairness, exemptions, and their outreach efforts.
According to the CCAO, the Report contains extensive data on the South Triad reassessment including new assessed value by major property type, metrics for appeals and exemptions, and a comparison of the CCAO's assessments to real estate sales.
