2024 Best of Lemont Reception and Awards Night

The 2024 Best of Lemont Reception and Awards Night was held on Wednesday, November 13 at the newly renovated and expanded Lemont Township Community Center. The event was hosted jointly by the Village of Lemont and Lemont Township. Generous sponsorship was provided by Lemont Bank & Trust, Folklore Coffee, Pollyanna Brewery and DJ Jeff Hawthorne. The Awards Ceremony was emceed by Lemont Township Supervisor Michael Shackel “to recognize those who make the Village of Lemont a better place to live.” Retiring Lemont Police Department Commander Thad Mezyk was also honored.

The 2024 Best of Lemont honorees included:

Lemont Fire Protection District Firefighter of the Year- Mark Armor

Lemont Law Enforcement Officer of the Year- Noe Salinas

Lemont Public Library District Employee of the Year- Maureen Fako

Lemont High School District 210 Educator of the Year- Rick Prangen

Lemont-Bromberek District 113A Educator of the Year- Kelli Casey

Lemont Park District Employee of the Year- Larry Rizzo

Village of Lemont Employee of the Year- Jim Begy

Lemont Township Employee of the Year- Cindy O’Malley

Lemont Community Collaborator Award- Lauren Raspanti
