ILLINOIS — More snow is expected this weekend as another snow system moves through the Chicago area. The National Weather Service said a fast-moving system could bring light to moderate snow accumulations Sunday, especially north of I-80. Snow will also be accompanied by gusty winds, and freezing drizzle will be possible Sunday evening.

Flurries are also possible Saturday and it will be near 33 degrees, according to the weather service. No major accumulations are expected Saturday, but 1 to 3 inches of snow is possible Sunday.

FRIDAY NIGHT: A 30 percent chance of snow, mainly after midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 23. West wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.

SATURDAY: A slight chance of snow before noon, then a chance of flurries after noon. Partly sunny, with a high near 33. Light west wind increasing to 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.

SATURDAY NIGHT: Increasing clouds, with a low around 24. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph.

SUNDAY: Snow before 4 p.m., then rain, possibly mixed with snow. High near 35. South southeast wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent.

SUNDAY NIGHT: A slight chance of drizzle before midnight. Cloudy, with a low around 23.
