Up To 3 Inches Of Snow On Sunday For IL

Some snow accumulation is possible once again late Saturday night through Sunday. The National Weather Service said light accumulations of up to 3 inches are expected area-wide. Temperatures will be in the 30s on Saturday and Sunday, with a high of 32 on both days.

If you're feeling tired of the snow and rain in Chicago, you aren't alone. The NWS said Feb. 13 was the 33rd day in a row with precipitation for Chicago. The previous record was only 19 days, and that happened once in 1945 and once in 1961.

As of Feb. 13, 2019 has only seen 6 days so far with no precipitation.

• FRIDAY NIGHT: Partly cloudy, with a low around 12. North northwest wind 5 to 10 mph.
• SATURDAY: Partly sunny, with a high near 28. East northeast wind 5 to 10 mph.
• SATURDAY NIGHT: A 40 percent chance of snow after 1am. Increasing clouds, with a low around 23. East northeast wind 10 to 15 mph.
• SUNDAY: Snow likely, mainly after 7 a.m. Cloudy, with a high near 30. East wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%.
• SUNDAY NIGHT: Snow likely, mainly before 7 p.m. Cloudy, with a low around 22. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
