4th grade LAC basketball team places 3rd in STATE tournament.

Over the weekend (March 16th-18th), the Illinois State Middle School Basketball Championship was hosted in Rockford, IL at the UW Health Sports Factory and Rockford East High School. The LAC (Lemont Athletic Club) 4th grade boys began the tournament with 2 pool play wins against Rockford Five-O (28-19) and Chicago Dreamers (41-19). With a #1 seed in Pool B, the 4th grade LAC team faced the #1 seed from Pool A, O'Fallon Jr. Panthers who defeated LAC 30-16 and went on to win the state title. In LAC's final game against MKE Ballaz Elite, LAC fought back after being down 15 points in the 2nd half, to achieve an overtime victory, 35-32, which earned the team a 3rd place finish in the State tournament. 4th grade LAC finished the season with a record of 28-6 overall and an undefeated conference record of 12-0. The team is coached by Coach Scott Abdo, assisted by Coach Dan Crane and consists of the following players: #0 Teddy Lambiris, #30 Zane Schneider, #34 Sean Crane, #55 Ethan Kelby, #32 Cannon Madej, #22 Ryan Crane, #23 Robbie Abdo, and #1 Lucas Abdullah.
