90 Degree Temps To Start The Week, Severe Storms Possible In IL

ILLINOIS — It will be a hot start to the week before temperatures cool back down to the 70s. Monday will be the hottest day of the week with a high of 94 degrees, the weather service said.

Tuesday will also be hot with a high of 91, but there is also a chance of showers and thunderstorms, and a small chance for severe weather. The weather service said there is also a potential for heavy rain on Tuesday due to rain bands from tropical storm Cristobal.

Wednesday has a chance of showers, and will be cooler with a high of 78 degrees, according to the weather service. Thursday will have a high of 79, and Friday will have a high of 76.

The weather service said Thursday and Friday will both be sunny and dry.
