Additional Security Cameras Coming to Old Quarry Middle School
Installation will take place as soon as the contractor is available.

More security cameras will be installed at Old Quarry Middle School, the District 113A Board of Education decided Wednesday.
The board approved the purchase of 21 additional cameras, at a total price tag of $21,407.95. The cameras will be positioned in hallways, entrances, gymnasiums and the cafeterias.
“The police department recommended we move forward with such a project,” Superintendent Dr. Courtney Orzel said during the meeting. “It’s not uncommon to see schools, from safety and security perspective.”
