Alleged Child Sex Abuser Now Facing Child Pornography Charges
Elgin man charged in 2015 for abusing Lemont teen, arrested again when cops find computer with child porn in his car, prosecutor said.

LEMONT, IL -- An Elgin man already facing charges for aggravated criminal sexual abuse was arrested after police found on a computer containing child pornography in his car, prosecutors said in court.
James Hinterlong, 27, appeared before Cook County Judge Peter Felice on a charge of possession of child pornography.

According to the charges, Lemont police executed a search warrant on Hinterlong’s vehicle, where they recovered a computer with images of child pornography depicting children under the age of 18 engaged in sex acts with adults.
One of the images showed a child being penetrated by a dog, the prosecutor said.

Hinterlong was arrested on charges of sexually abusing a 15-year-old girl between May 1, 2015 and Oct. 1, 2015.
Lemont police began investigating Hinterlong after encountering him at the Lemont Herritage Quarries on a suspicious vehicle call.
Judge Felice set bail at $100,000.
Hinterlong’s next court appearance is May 13 in Bridgeview.
