LEMONT, IL — State Sen. John Curran and State Rep. Nicole La Ha will host a senior fair on June 30 in Lemont.
The fair offers free admission and free refreshments, and will be held from 9 a.m. to noon at SS. Cyril & Methodius School, 607 Sobieski St., in Lemont.
According to event organizers, there will be information for seniors including about I-Cash, transponder exchange, utility savings, nutrition, internet scams, veterans assistance, in-home care, activities for seniors, safety in your home and more.
Some items will also be collected at the event, including flags, eye glasses, hearing aids, phones and prescription drugs (no liquids or EpiPens).
Participants at the fair include Aetna, Captain Call, Citizens Utility Board, Meals on Wheels, VFW Post 5819, PACE, Silver Cross Hospital, Nicor, Lockport Express Medical, Lemont Township, Lemont Lions Club, Illinois Tollyway, Home Helpers and many more.
