New Therapy Practice Opens Inside Lemont Wellness Clinic

The new practice provides support for kids, teens, adults and families.

LEMONT, IL — A new therapy practice has opened inside Qi Wellness in Lemont, bringing another resource to the wellness center.

Clinical psychologist Alicia Viera, and owner of Rooted Presence and Purpose, said she decided to open inside the wellness clinic because it blended services for the mind and body.

"My objective is to connect mental health with other disciplines, and become a resource for families and professionals throughout Lemont and surrounding communities," Viera said.

She said she chose Lemont because it stood out as having a "strong sense of community, while also having a focus on wellness, small businesses and supporting families."

Qi Wellness Clinic is located at 12420 Archer Ave., in Lemont. When deciding to open inside the clinic, Viera said she felt the missions of her practice and Qi Wellness, owned by Beata Chwalek-Hruswicki, aligned well.

"My practice is located in Qi Wellness because the mind and body are deeply interconnected, and I wanted for my clients to have the opportunity to immerse themselves in comprehensive wellness services," she said.

Qi Wellness offers several services, including acupuncture, cupping, massage, sauna/cold plunge, red light therapy, IV therapy, hyperbaric oxygen and more.

Viera has spent much of her career working with children, teens, adults and families.

"My goal with Rooted Presence and Purpose is to create a space where individuals can slow down, feel understood, reconnect with themselves, and move forward with greater intention and purpose," she told Patch.

Viera also works with By Your Side Autism Therapy Services, which provides resources and helps connect families to occupational therapy, speech therapy, autism spectrum services, feeding therapy and more. Viera is also the diagnostic clinical director at By Your Side.

"My hope is that families in Lemont will feel more connected to the support available to them and know that there are resources nearby, if they need them," Viera said.
