• Harvest Fest Features Hay Rides, Trunk Or Treat And More (patch.com) — Lemont families can look forward to Harvest Fest at Centennial Park this Saturday, with live music from the Yacht-Rockettes, a beer tent featuring Pollyanna brews, and a full food court of local favorites. Kids will find plenty to do with inflatables, balloon artists, face painting, games, trunk or treat, and hay rides from the Lemont Tractor Club, plus a pie-eating contest open by online registration.
   

• Men's golf: Monaghan leads IHCC at Flyer Intercollegiate (ottumwacourier.com) — A collegiate men's golf tournament at Cog Hill in Lemont saw freshman Evan Monaghan lead Indian Hills to a strong fifth-place team finish, highlighted by his tie for second individually. Several teammates also cracked the top 20 as the Warriors wrapped up another solid outing in town.
   

• Ames National Lab awarded $1.5M for mining technology (iowastatedaily.com) — Federal energy officials are steering nearly $30 million to national labs for critical minerals research, and the list of funded institutions includes Argonne National Laboratory in Lemont. While the spotlight is on Iowa's Ames Lab, the investment underscores Lemont's role in the national research network shaping future mining and materials technology.
