Annual Frigid 5K Planned In Lemont

LEMONT, IL — Although it may only be October, the Lemont Park District is already planning its 13th annual Frigid 5K in December.

The race will be held at 8 a.m. Dec. 5 on the Centennial Park campus, 16028 W. 127th St., Lemont. Runners can register for $35 by Nov. 12, and will receive a sweatshirt. Race day registration is $50.

According to the park district, runners can wear holiday gear or their best ugly sweaters for the race, and there will be an after-party with a hot chocolate bar, DJ and refreshments.

Awards will be given to the top three male and female runners in each age category, the park district said.
