Another Possible Rainy, Stormy Week For IL

Temperatures will warm up across Illinois this week, with most of the area seeing highs in the mid 80s. According to the National Weather Service, a few lingering storms are possible through Sunday evening over central Illinois. A limited thunderstorm risk will continue for the rest of the work week as well.

Monday should be dry and mostly cloudy with a high near 78. Temperatures will get warmer on Tuesday, but the chance of rain and storms return, according to the NWS. Storms are possible mainly after 1 p.m., and there will be a high of 84 degrees.

The sun comes back on Wednesday during the day, when it will be 84 degrees, but in the evening, there is once again a chance of showers and thunderstorms.

Thursday and Thursday night will also see a chance of showers and storms, and it will be near 80 degrees. The weather will be much of the same on Friday, with a chance of storms and a high near 83 degrees.
