Athens Park Grand Opening Set For Saturday

LEMONT, IL — Lemont's newest park, Athens Park, will celebrate its grand opening and ribbon cutting on Saturday. The celebration will include live music, food, coffee, kides activities and more.

The festivities will run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on April 25 at the park, which is located at the north end of Stephen Street in downtown Lemont.

Complimentary food and drinks will be provided from Wooden Paddle, Mama D's, Folklore Coffee and Beavers Donuts (until supplies last).

At the grand opening, you can also sign up for your dog park permit, and enter a raffle to win a free permit or pavilion rental.

Athens Park includes a playground, pavilion, walking path and the Barkyard Dog Park.
