Best-Selling Author Visits Old Quarry

Old Quarry Middle School students were able to listen to a ​New York Times best-selling author on Nov. 8.

LEMONT, IL —Old Quarry Middle School students were able to listen to a New York Times best-selling author on Nov. 8. The school said Jennifer A. Nielsen, author of "Resistance" and "A Night Divided" signed over 200 books for students.

Nielsen was introduced by eighth grade student Delaney Zimmerman, an avid reader and fan of the author. The school said Zimmerman described Jennifer's books as, "beautiful and thrilling which delivers a story many will love."

"Resistance" chronicles Jewish teenagers who actively fought against the Nazi occupation of Poland and "A Night Divided" depicts a family who were suddenly separated by the Berlin Wall.
