Pub crawls and barflies and Vegas Bombs, oh my!

The nightlife of Lemont can be one of the most dependable staples in Lemont. While some of the schools create controversy, there is something about the familiarity of the same faces on both sides of the bar, and most of the time the warm welcomes bring a smile to your face.

It’s Friday night, and the sun has gone to sleep. The bright lights downtown along State Street and at the Derby/McCarthy/Archer area start to shine. The neon signs on State Street have been haunting you all week, the cheers coming from the multiple patios have been calling your name, and the Blatz sign speaks to you.

Do you feel like dancing, singing, pondering life’s woes, shooting pool, playing darts, listening to a band, joining a themed party, participating in the current fundraiser, or just hanging with your friends? Look no further.

The downtown area offers such great variety. If you can’t find the pub or grub to suit your needs, you’re probably a newbie. Even a grumpy bartender or two brings a smile to my face. And if you pick a spot that just isn’t doing it for you, tip the tender, grab your pals, walk outside and pick your next scene.

Some faces and places have been entertaining us for generations, and some are just opening their doors. But all create the look of Lemont Nightlife. I am looking forward to being the new blogger for Lemont nightlife, so come share a drink and a story with me!
