Bright Lights, Small Town: Lemont Pub Crawls
Advice from a local on a successful Lemont pub crawl.
I was invited to a pub crawl in town ast month. It wasn't to celebrate anything other than being from Lemont, loving Lemont or simply knowing people in Lemont.
There were about 40 people in the crawl, which had an official name that was ever-so-appropriate for the pub crawl (but maybe not Patch, so I will leave you guessing).
If you were around that night and saw a bunch of us "Dirty 30-year-olds" running around in dark green shirts, you know what an exuberant group this was. The people at the , , , , , and were great supporters of our efforts!

So here's my suggestion for future pub crawl or scavenger hunt organizers: Plan in advance.
- Do a little research for the date you choose. You don't want to plan your crawl on the day of a big community event.
- Make sure you let each place you will be visiting know, in advance, that you will be stopping by. Try your best to let the bars know how many people will be in the crawl and about what time you will be stopping by. The pub owners I have met have been nothing but gracious and welcoming when you give them a heads up.
- Plan a good spot to meet and end that can handle the number of people in your group. You may want to start and end in the same spot so that everyone is near their transportation.
- Determine an allotted time for each location. It will help move things along and also give late-comers a chance to catch up easily in the right spot.
- Give a 10-minute warning before leaving each location. This will give everyone time to finish their drink so that you won't leave any solo stragglers to find their way to the next location.
Here’s looking forward to more lively Lemont memories!
