Pet Peeve: Stepping in your dog's pile of poop while strolling through the Heritage Woodland Sanctuary...
Taking a Sunday stroll with my dog, Iggy, at the here in Lemont should be a picturesque scenario — but it's not.
It's difficult to enjoy the wildlife in flight and the fields of blooming goldenrod, while along the meandering paths my pup discovers another pile of poop!
Even with the availability of litter bag stations along the trails and at Central Bark, irresponsiblible dog owners leave their dogs' litter behind. Even with signs warning of $500 fines for not removing your dog's debris, the careless pet owners just leave the poop behind! These thoughtless dog owners would be the first to complain when our parks are unkept or if they were ever fined. (Have the ever fined any dog owner for this violation?)

The reality is that other animals and humans can suffer serious health issues from your dog's poop. If you don't believe me, take time and Google it!
