Trojan Hockey: Celebrating Our Seniors With a Win
A final home game celebrates the Seniors and one last win before playoffs.
In one of our final home games, the Trojans took the time to recognize and celebrate our senior players who will be leaving us after the fall season comes to a close. I would like to take the time to acknowledge them as well.
Mike Cronin, Lemont High School, honed his hockey skills at Arctic Ice Arena in Orland Park. He started playing for the Trojans in his freshman year, and has proven himself as one of our strongest defensemen.
Danny Desmond, Lemont High School, also spent his youth hockey days skating atArctic Ice Arena. A powerful forward and one of our leading scorers, Danny skated for the Trojans all four of his high school years.

Kyle Millinowisch, Lemont High School, came to our team in his junior year from the St. Jude Hockey Club. Another strong forward and scorer, Kyle is known as quite the enforcer when he is on the ice.
Tyler Zaremski, Lemont High School, has been a part of the team for three years. A former Huskie, Tyler was one of our heavy hitters on the defensive line.

All four of these players have been an integral part of the success the Trojans have experienced this year, and they all will be missed.
Oh yeah, there was a game played that night as well. For the third time this season, the Trojans faced off against Providence. The teams split the two previous games, making this the tie-breaker.
Right before the game started, someone yelled “Every senior scores!” Danny Desmond heeded the call about halfway through the first period, and put one past their goalie, assisted by Bryan Dirst and Kyle Millinowisch. In the second period, Kyle Millinowisch accepted the challenge and scored one for the Trojans, assisted by T.J. Laper and Bryan Dirst.
The Trojans closed out the third period with a power play goal from David Ulanski, unassisted, and Joe Sambucci, unassisted for a 4-0 win. While our two senior defensemen, Mike Cronin and Tyler Zaremski, did not score in this game, they led their defensive lines in holding Providence to only 20 shots. Joe Stolfo finished a
strong game with yet another shutout.
