On May 13, 2026, in partnership with the Homer Township Public Library, the Lemont Artists Guild is pleased to present, at the library, Master Dance Teacher, Elaine Gotfryd-Noonan, M.S., who will show attendees how to revitalize their artistic creativity through different patterns of movement that will help them in creating. This movement/dance in an improvised way changes the thought process and can help with solving problems that occur when creating. Chairs will be used for stability and no experience is necessary to participate. To quote Henry Matisse “an artist should never be a prisoner…prisoner of style…prisoner of reputation or prisoner of success.” So, come and “step out of yourself” and enjoy learning some new movement patterns to help you “THINK DIFFERENTLY” just as the likes of Picasso, Matisse, M.C. Escher, Monet, Van Gogh, Dali did during their time! You never know what it will help you create next!

PLEASE REGISTER AT: https://www.homerlibrary.org/movement2026 *
