The May 16th Lemont Artists Guild meeting, will begin at 7 PM at the Homer Township Public Library, 14320 W 151st St, Homer Glen, IL. Lee Ristow will discuss ceramics, demonstrate techniques and bring clay for everyone to try. She works out of ClaySpace Ceramic Art Center in Lisle and is a past member of Lemont Artists Guild. Lee has experimented all her life in many art mediums but found a passion for the beauty of working with clay. Besides showing her work, she will demonstrate different techniques such as hand building, textures, stamping and pinch pot. She will talk about temperatures required for firing clay and will also extend an invitation for attending the special RAKU firing at Clayspace. She is an eclectic potter and likes to try many techniques. You can check out the website at: www.clayspace.net
