Chalk It Up Lemont Returns July 15

LEMONT, IL — The annual Chalk It Up chalk art contest returns to downtown Lemont on July 15.

The free contest is for ages 6 and up, and is held in the Metra parking lot from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

You must register with the Lemont Park District by July 9 to participate.

The event will include chalk art, ice cream and a DJ.

Each participant will be given one pack of chalk and assigned a work space, according to the park district. Participants can also bring extra chalk, chalk pastels and blending tools. One person is allowed per work space.

Prizes will also be awarded for the best use of color, most interesting characters and most creative theme.
