Chance Of Showers, Storms; Temps In The 80s For IL

As meteorological fall begins on Tuesday, temperatures will remain in the 80s and weather should stay mostly dry.

ILLINOIS — Temperatures have cooled slightly compared to the 90s of last week, but will still remain in the 80s for most of the week. According to the National Weather Service, as meteorological fall begins, the high for Monday is 85 and the High for Tuesday is 83.

There are storms possible on both Monday and Tuesday. The weather service said isolated storms are possible Monday afternoon, mainly near the Rockford area. There is also a limited thunderstorm risk on Tuesday.

Wednesday and Thursday will be slightly warmer with a high of 85 and 87, respectively. There is a low storm chance again on Thursday, otherwise both days will be dry.

Friday will be the coolest day of the week, with a high of 77, according to the weather service.
