Chance Of Storms, Temps In The 60s: Illinois Weekend Weather

Rain and storms are possible on Saturday, and temps will be in the 60s on both Saturday and Sunday.

ILLINOIS — It's definitely feeling like fall in Illinois, and temperatures are expected to stay in the 60s this weekend. The National Weather Service said it was a "seasonably chilly" morning on Friday, with most areas in the 40s. In Chicago, it dropped to 45 degrees; the last time Chicago hit 45 degrees was on May 21.

Not only are cooler temperatures expected this weekend, but rain and storms are also in the forecast. According to the NWS, showers with possibly a few thunderstorms are expected to move across the area Saturday afternoon and evening. Some showers and thunderstorms may produce localized heavy rain.

The high for both Saturday and Sunday will be 69 degrees.
