Chicago Blaze Light Fire on Fall Season 8/23 in Lemont
The Chicago Blaze rugby club to play Chicago Riot at 1 PM Saturday, August 23

The Chicago Blaze Rugby Club will begin scrumming down in the fall 2014 Rugby season opening match against the Chicago Riot this Saturday at 1pm.
There will be two matches played as the clubs both have teams in Division 2 and 4 of USA Rugby.
The Riot will make their debut in Division 2, having been created in 2008 playing in Division 3 and promoted this season.

A new rivalry has been formed and the games will be competitive according to new Blaze President Michael Zdenovec.
“We are moving fast and forward on and off the pitch. I look forward to kicking off the fall rugby season as well as beginning construction on our brand new million dollar clubhouse/locker room structure, ” said Zdenovec.

“This team wants to grow through the community and has new goals to help teach the game to local youth as well as being involved with local organizations Hope and Friendship, Local Cub & Boy Scout Packs/Troops 149 and Lemont VFW.”
