Chicago Prostitute Curbed in Lemont

Investigators saw her enter a residence and come back out shortly after, with cash in hand.

A woman revealed to be a prostitute was arrested in Lemont after she was seen in the act of an exchange, police said.

Investigators observed Grace A. Wright, 30, of the 2750 block of Roosevelt Rd. as “scantily clad, unaware of her surroundings and acting suspicious,” said Sgt. Thad Mezyk. She was seen entering a residence and exiting a short time later with cash in hand, Mezyk said. Police then stopped her for an unrelated violation, and she admitted to performing acts for cash, Mezyk said. She was also found in possession of a crack pipe.

Wright was charged with obstruction of identity, prostitution and possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop at 127th Street and Marian Drive.
