Cog Hill Youth Team To Play In Junior League Championship

The team from Cog Hill, which includes area kids ages 11-13, will play in the league championship in Arizona next month.

LEMONT, IL — The Cog Hill 13U All-Stars from Lemont won the National Car Rental Professional Golfers' Association Junior League Regional at Purdue University’s Kampen Course in Indiana over the weekend. According to a news release, the team secured their fifth consecutive trip to the National Car Rental PGA Junior League Championship in Arizona next month.

The championship will be broadcast live on select ESPN networks for the first time this year, the release states.

The team from Lemont, which includes kids ages 11-13 from area towns, shot an aggregate total of 190 on the first day of competition, according to the news release. The Lemont team beat out Michigan-based Tee-Rific All-Stars in the championship match, earning the team a berth in the league championship.

The Cog Hill team will become Team Illinois for the league championship, according to the release.

The team roster includes: Sam Carraher, of Crown Point, Daniel Chang, of Woodridge, Victoria Cui, of Lake Forest, William Cui, of Lake Forest, Charlie Forrest, of Western Springs, Michael Jorski, of Clarendon Hills, Matthew Lim, of Skillman, and Joey Scott, of Lemont.
