Cog Hill's 55th Eskimo Open A Success

LEMONT, IL — Cog Hill hosted its 55th Eskimo Open earlier this month. The club said 66 players participated in the chilly golf open this year. Participation was a bit low this year, the club said, but the two inches of snow on the ground was a factor in that.

In warmer years, the open will see more than 400 participants. The club said the first Eskimo Open was held in 1963. Participants also have the chance to win a bit of cash each year, if they win. Some of the winners this year included:

• First place- Jeremy Bilecki, 69
• Second place - Jim Coan, 70
• Third place - Barry Quane, 73

9-Hole Gross Score

• First place - Nick Brand, 37
• Second Place - John Brand, 41
• Third Place - Paul Baldwin, 42
