Community Corner

A collective sigh of relief.

The world watched, prayed, hoped and cared for those they never met, nor ever will. May that never stop.

Today words that went in my ears produced tears that came out my eyes.
"All 12 boys, their coach and their rescuers are safe."
As a mother my heart rejoiced.
As a first responder my spirit cheered for the heroes who saved, and mourned the one that gave his life to lay the foundation.

As a disciple of Christ I thanked God for the strength, grace and
perseverance of the whole response operation and for the lives that will
now continue on.
As one who loves
my young friends I hoped I would also do all I could do to bring a
child to the safe arms of the ones who love them.
Today I feel the
whole world should stop, breathe a collective sigh of relief, understand
more the vow and commitment of our first responders, and hug our
children and loved ones a little tighter tonight before we safely and
comfortably say "Goodnight",
and please tell them you love them.
We can never hear that enough and it may be the exact words that help us hang on.

May all involved in any way or form feel the love and support of a
peaceful, grateful, humbled world of observers who are so very thankful
that you are safe, sound, dry and alive.
May we not forget, and lift in prayers the one who laid his life down for another to live.
Would I, Could I do the same?
The world watched, prayed, hoped and cared for those they never met, nor ever will.
May that never stop.
