Big Warmup, Near 80 Degrees Coming To IL After Cool Start To Week

ILLINOIS — After several days of unseasonably cool temperatures, temps will start to warm up to the 70s by mid-week. Monday will start fairly cool with a high of 65 degrees away from the lake. It should remain dry on Monday, although gusts could be as high as 15 mph, the National Weather Service said.

Tuesday will be slightly warmer with a high of 69 degrees, although there is a chance of showers starting Tuesday evening. Wednesday will be even warmer, and the high will break 70 degrees with a high of 73 degrees. Again, rain is possible Wednesday morning.

According to the NWS, Thursday will have a chance for showers and thunderstorms, and the high will be 79 degrees. Storms are also possible late Thursday night. Friday will be mostly sunny and have a high of 78 degrees.
